You website is very professional and your staff are friendly and helpful. This was our second holiday booking with you to New Zealand.
Other than a few issues with the TV and missing Welcome Pack, we had a wonderful holiday in the Cheapa 6 Berth Motorhome. We travelled across the whole South Island - the weather was beautiful with sunny days and cold nights (perfect for us). The food was wonderful and the service and friendly nature of the people everywhere we went was memorable. I love the fact that everything we brought, from body wash to tomato paste, was made in NZ. Timaru our first stop and was just beautiful (the Top Ten Caravan Park was lovely). Then to Oamaru then Dunedin, to the Bluff, Te Ahau, Queenstown, then to the west coast Frans Joseph, Fox, Hokitika, Greymouth, Westport, Renwick, Queen Charlotte pass, Havelock, Picton, Blenheim, Kaikoura, Hamner Springs then Christchurch, all in 14 days. The wine was magnificent - NZ do the best Sav in the world. We took our PC and downloaded our pics each day and wrote a daily diary, that was a great idea. We were also able to use it to play a series of DVD's. The Stone White Cheese factory was a not-to-miss and also the Marlborough Winery (best restaurant, unreal gourmet). We revisited the restaurant as the chef is a magician, very talented. We loved Te Ahau (glow worms, a beautiful town). We flew to Milford Sound a few years back so didn't do the long drive this time. Queenstown and Arrow Town were beautiful. Queen Charlotte Pass was an amazing drive and toKaikoura was a beautiful drive along both coast roads. The pancake rocks were amazing as well. Boy, I have so many memories of a fabulous holiday. New Zealand is the perfect place to motorhome - good roads purpose-built for touring I think. Love NZ! Suzanne and Stephen McGrath

We had a great trip with the Kea 6 Berth campervan organised through Salamanda Travel. We toured for 14 days through the South Island of New Zealand and everything went according to plan - even the weather. The staff at Salamanda Travel were very helpful in advising me how to coordinate the insurance, bond, etc.
It was helpful having a 6 berth although there were only 4 people as it provided a little more room for sleeping and storage. Kea were very friendly and easy to work with for both processing us in and out including the pick-up and drop-off.

A big thanks for your help with our recent camper trip in New Zealand. We took the Apollo campervan around the North and South islands and had a great time. It was easy enough to take the campervan across on the ferry and the camper was a good size for the 2 of us. We would like to thank Salamanda Travel and Jucy Rentals for all the help provided to ensure an enjoyable holiday in New Zealand.
The Salamanda Travel website was very detailed and well priced, which easily convinced us to purchase our Jucy 2 Berth campervan rental through them. The Chaser itself was perfect for the two of us. We had everything we needed for the trip (refrigerator, sink, shower, portable heater, toilet, bedding, storage, etc). The only inconvenience we experienced was when my digital camera battery ran out of power and I could not charge it until my vehicle was plugged in to a power source.
Other than needing to be plugged in to use the electrical outlet, the vehicle survived our tremendous journey throughout the north and south island. We made numerous stops as we drove from Auckland to Wellington, and then throughout the South island (Nelson, Hanmer Springs, Franz Josef, Queenstown, Dunedin, and Christchurch). The activities (Skywire in Nelson, thermal pools in Hanmer Springs and many more) and scenery (Franz Josef, Queenstown, east coast beaches and many more) guaranteed our decision to return to New Zealand in the near future. We will definitely rent Jucy vehicles through Salamanda Travel during our next holiday. Thank you!

We hired a 6 Berth KEA motorhome from Salamanda Travel to travel around New Zealand. The rental process was very easy and the consultants were helpful, friendly and went beyond expectations in making sure we had a camper that best suited our needs. They also arranged hotel transfers for us to and from the motorhome rental which made it all very easy. Our motorhome was clean, well maintained and suited all our needs. I would recommend using Salamanda Travel to help with your bookings to anyone who is travelling to NZ. They were a pleasure to deal with. My thanks to the team.

Thanks to you and your staff in Oz and the staff in NZ I had a wonderful trouble-free holiday touring the South Island in the Hippie Camper I hired. The van was well suited to my needs. I hope to go back to the South Island again next year to further explore places of interest I noted on this trip.
To achieve what I set out to do during my holiday I needed a suitable, reliable and hassle free vehicle from pick-up to drop-off and I'm pleased to say the Hippie Camper was more than up to the task. While this time around I didn't take full advantage of all the supplied equipment in the van, it was a comfort to know it was available should it be needed.

We have just returned from our holiday in New Zealand in a Kea 4 Berth Motorhome. We had a fantastic time - the motorhome was all we could have wanted. The vehicle was beautifully clean and well equipped and the Kea staff were kind and helpful. The New Zealand people are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful and the countryside was so green and clean. We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you for all your help.
